Kelvin Mancebo dreams of the day when he is an air traffic controller. As a senior at Kent State University, Mancebo is majoring in aeronautics with a minor in aircraft dispatch. He is an exceptional student who made the Dean’s List in 2015 and 2016, and the President’s List in 2016, all while playing on the Kent State baseball team. The grand opening of Kent State University’s new Integrated Sciences Building will be held Sept. 15 from 2:30-5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Following the ceremony, Kent State’s College of Arts and Sciences will host a reception and tours of the new building and renovated spaces in Cunningham, Smith and Williams halls, all part of a $95 million upgrade to the Science Mall. More than 500 Kent State University volunteers are preparing to welcome incoming freshmen to the Kent Campus tomorrow morning.
