Based on the hit movie, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “School of Rock–The Musical” is the story of a slacker who plays in a local band who stumbles into a substitute teaching job at an upscale prep school.

In the classroom he is inspired to turn a group of quiet, straight-A students into a full-on, rollicking rock band in time for a "Battle of the Bands" competition. But can he do it before the school's stuffy headmistress finds out?

The show opened on July 18 at Kent State's Porthouse Theatre, located on the grounds of Blossom Music Center and runs through Aug. 3. You can find tickets .
