Kent State University volunteers help move freshman into their new residence halls during the annual service program, called Movers and Groovers.

At the beginning of each school year, Kent State University faculty, staff and students volunteer to help incoming freshmen move into the university’s residence halls. The annual service program, called Movers and Groovers, is coordinated by Kent Interhall Council, the student government of the residence halls on the Kent Campus. The volunteers aid new students and their families, providing assistance and helping to make the move-in process less stressful.
