University investment proceeds to be used for property purchase At its Jan. 23 meeting, the Ohio Controlling Board approved Kent State University鈥檚 request to purchase property located at 430-436 E. Main Street in Kent, Ohio, from seller GDR Partners LLC. The purchase of the property completes the university鈥檚 strategic acquisition of properties on this block associated with partnership with the city of Kent and the economic downtown revitalization of the downtown business district. Dr. John Gunstad is a professor and director of the Applied Psychology Center in Kent State University鈥檚 Department of Psychological Sciences. Miss Collegiate Ohio is passionate about putting academics first. Deneen Penn, a Kent State University at Trumbull sophomore majoring in business, is preparing for the Miss Collegiate America pageant in late June. Penn鈥檚 platform is B.R.A.V.E, which stands for Building Respect and Values for Everyone.
